The conceptualisation of Vedic Global

Looking at the present-day situation where nations are either fighting to gain supremacy and capture the territory of others, it is the religion that can be seen as the binding thread amongst all people globally. However some people are trying to prove that their God is better or is the only God and forcing others to convert. Even communities are divided on the basis of race, religion caste, distinction between rich and poor, classification based on colour and creed.

Trillions are being invested (wasted) in weapons of mass destruction to either protect their borders or attack others and expand. Similarly, trillions are being invested (wasted) to promote their religion and convert others to theirs. We are spending billions to find any trace of life outside of earth but destroying beautiful life on this planet.

If we save much money and effort being wasted and use that to serve the humanity then no one on this universe can remain poor, illiterate or hungry.

The COVID 19 pandemic is infecting millions and killing thousands globally and pushing the world in economic turmoil and chaos. This has shown the world that if we play with Mother Nature and consume what is not meant for human, nature will take its revenge sooner or later and no one will be spared.

Among crisis all around the world, the Peace Mantra from the prehistoric era came to my mind

Meaning

“Let all be happy, Let all be healthy, Let all see/experience auspiciousness, Let no one is suppressed/overwhelmed by grief

If we can achieve the above then only we can dream of

वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् – World is one family

With these thoughts in mind, Monica and Rakesh conceptualised an awareness campaign to make an effort to make this world a peaceful place. We shared vision with likeminded people. Together we thought of our ancient culture, philosophy and values and reverting back to the Vedic way of life leading us to the formation of Vedic Global with the vision of:

वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् – World is one family

Sarv Jan Hitay – सर्वजन हिताय  Sarv Jan  Sukhay – सर्वजन सुखाय

Sarvey Santu Niramayah – सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः

When we did our first brainstorming session to take it to the next level the following surfaced during the meeting:

  1. Lack of strong Global Leader and unity

There are numerous Hindu/Vedic/Sanatani organisations which are doing great work all across the world however there is no unified leadership which can bind them all under one umbrella. We lack a strong leadership as well as coordination between various so-called Hindu, Sanatani and Vedic organisations. The need of the hour is to have a strong global leader.  We should aim to have strong leadership and Voice internationally.

  1. Lack of modernisation and following

Somehow there is a perception that if you are religious then you are rigid, orthodox and old school. People can’t believe that people who are modern can be religious also and Monica is the perfect example for that as she prays and meditates morning and evening without which she does not eat.. The need of the hour is to revolutionise Vedic culture in a way that all should follow wholeheartedly and we can then show the world how rich our heritage is and by following the same it may help all of us to lead a better life. It should include to maintain, refurbish and modernise old faith places and make a new one to attract modern generation including the adoption of Vedic values, culture and philosophy in our day to day life.

  1. Research, Preservation and Education

Our Vedic culture, philosophy and values are so rich that till we followed them strictly we were very strong morally, physically and spiritually. Our universities were world-famous. Scholars from across the world used to come to Bharat for higher studies. Universities like Takshila, Nalanda, were world-famous. Gurukuls were spread over the entire country where young generation used to study and come out as an educated and responsible citizens. We were considered one of the best warriors. Due to spread of Buddhism after Samrat Ashoka we sort of lost warrior ship and that along with factionalism, greed, infighting, divisions and because of very many reasons foreign forces could come into the country since 11th century and not only ruled us but systematically destroyed our universities, temples literature and monuments. Even before the British came to rule us, our country was one of the richest and GDP was around 32% of the world. Lord Macaulay is on record pointing out that until they break our education system and moral values it is difficult to rule here. Earlier much damage was done by Mughals initially by destroying our universities, damaging our temples and monuments, converting people to Islam and later British destroyed the remaining education system, looted our resources and made our country one of the poorest. Worst was to change the history for the benefit of Moghuls and British and forgetting or overlooking our glorious past deliberately neglecting our heroes and rich heritage.

Monica started Hindi classes from January this year initially starting with only her niece and nephew which later turned in to culture class more and with the spread of word is gaining a lot of popularity with more and more students joining ranging from 5 years to 21 and various parents/WOW and Ramon team members coming forward to become providers and laid the foundation of Shishu Mandir.

We have to bring back the teachings of our Vedic era like Vedas, Puranas, and Upanishads, rewrite the history to bring out the facts and redevelop centres for Vedic Education, culture and philosophy to preserve our culture, history and heritage and inspire, motivate, educate, redefine the value system.

Grow and spread the benefits of Sanatan/Vedic values

The world is gradually coming to know the benefits of Vedic culture, values and philosophy including scientific and most invaluable, rich and mother of all languages Sanskrit. In Germany alone there are 16 universities which have introduced Sanskrit, NASA has adopted Sanskrit as the most suitable language for AI, and many British schools are teaching their students Sanskrit which enables the student to not only grow their minds and learning capacities as well as inculcate moral values in them. We are aiming at establishing Vedic Centres to spread Vedic knowledge, goodness, peace and harmony through trained volunteers.

Vedic Certification and Vedic Business Directory

When we ran a very successful free food drive during the first phase of COVID 19 pandemic, cooking and distributing Shudh Saatvik food, it became an instant hit and a lot of international students and people in isolation benefitted out of it with the help am likeminded volunteers.

The success of Shudh Saatvik food gave us an idea that why not we start a brand which can certify good and beneficial food, services and products for the benefit of humanity. Coincidentally I met Dr Devendra Mohan (Dev) who has been Deputy Director-General with ISI back in India and is currently in Australia with his daughter’s family. When I shared the idea with him I could easily attract him to the project and be in charge of it and work has started with research and planning for the next steps.

Similarly being an admin of Hindu Business Line where over 200 Hindu Businesses joined the group an idea popped up in my mind that we can create a Hindu Business Directory and started a conversation with Raghu Koorthy who was already working on Wyndham Business directory and we unanimously agreed on creating a Vedic Global Business directory for the benefit of the entire community unity

It was a blessing in disguise that for some flimsy reason the person who started Hindu Business Line started shutting down the group without informing or consulting with other admin or members of the group. Before the group was shut down one of the proactive members of the group Rakesh Ganjoo created another group – Hindu Business Group to be run more professionally and invited likeminded people to join and many from the previous group joined.

At the very first meeting of this newly formed group it was agreed unanimously that the group should be named “Vedic Global Business” and should be under our not for profit company “Vedic Global Limited” work for which started in full swing.

  1. Being part of Rotary we very much liked the model and structure they follow and on similar lines, we conceptualised that Vedic Global to have Vedic Centres across the globe to spread Vedic values, culture and philosophies working closely with like-minded individuals, organisations and governments to achieve our vision and make this world a happy, healthy and harmonious place.

Simultaneously we run global projects like Vedic Global Business with Vedic Global Business directory and another for Vedic Certification.

Various Activities which are conceptualised are as follows:
